Akşam Olsa, Yatak!

Born of Armenian parentage in Marash, Ottoman Empire, a survivor of the genocide of the Armenian people, Marash Boy's grandmother Nartouhi was living with her son and his family in Springfield, Massachusetts when Marash Girl first met her. As late afternoon would approach, she was often heard intoning the following words: "Akşam olsa, yatak!" (Translation: Were it evening, we'd go to bed.)
