ARMENIAN ILLUMINATED MANUSCRIPT AT THE GETTY MUSEUM

Almost a year ago, Marash Girl was invited to view an exhibit of illuminated manuscripts at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California.  The surprise of her life came when she realized she was looking at not just any illuminated manuscript (impressive, to say the least,) but there in front of her was an illuminated manuscript written in Armenian by Armenian monks many centuries ago.  Above is the photo she took of the manuscript, (without flash, of course) through the protective glass in the darkened exhibit hall of the Getty Museum.
