My cousin helped my mother by adding some cement to smooth a bump on the walkway to her front door. He inscribed that motto in the cement, where it lasted for many years till a large oak in the front yard came down and ripped up a lot of the yard in doing so. But bits are still there, and remind me of it.
I wonder how many would of those bumper stickers one could find in Iraq? None, right? No Jesus, no peace
ReplyDeleteYou realize, of course, that bumper sticker in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, or any of the Islamic states in the Middle East, would put your head in the sand.
ReplyDeleteActually, the bumper sticker was on a car that was exiting the Massachusetts Turnpike in Newton Corner.

ReplyDeleteHow long ago was that? I didn't realize that the expression was older than the bumper sticker!
