Celebrating Armenian Christmas at Hye Cafe

Celebrating Armenian Christmas at Hye Cafe with Armenian music, Armenian food and Armenian dance, over 400 people filled the St. James Cultural Center in Watertown, MA yesterday evening.  Among the celebrants danced Marash Girl, who having been wearing her new rubber soled winter boots and many layers of warm clothing when she arrived,  was glad for her pedicure as, barefoot, she led the line dance on the thankfully splinter free wooden floor.
 l. to r.  Volunteering their time and gifting their music at the St. James Armenian Church Armenian Christmas celebration are musicians Leon Janikian (clarinet), Brian Ansbigian (oud),  Armen Janjigian (def), Joe Sarkissian (vocals/dumbeg), and David Ansbigian (guitar).
Well known Boston area musicians play "Karoun, Karoun, Karoun e", even though it is early winter, as an American Christmas Tree and an Armenian Flag look on and folks dance in celebration of Armenian Christmas.
