Flowering in celebration of the New Year

This plant had the temerity to flower on the first day of the first snowstorm of the  New Year!
Would that we all could follow its example!

    now, if we could just find men/women with this flower's character. send me warriors that flower and do not tremble before temerity. it must be from the light of the sun riding the backs of the flakes of snow; fire and ice and the light of life.
