Which of the two wolves wins?

An old Indian explains to his young son that each of us has within us two wolves that battle.
The first wolf represents serenity, love, and gentility.
The second wolf represesents fear, avarice and hatred.
"Which of the two wolves wins?" asks the child.
"The one that we nourish,"  the grandfather responds.
